this is how we do photos

Planning

Planning your photography session is a fun part of the process where we come together to talk about what your expectations are, what is important to you and what you’re looking for in a final result. I personally like to use email or chat for this part because I can send links to sample images, location, and outfit ideas.

Contract signing

After we’ve planned your session you will receive a customized proposal which outlines what we’ve talked about, the contract and your retainer fee invoice. The retainer fee is non-refundable and is like a handshake between me and you. Once the retainer has been paid, your date will be removed from my calendar of availability.

Camera time

This part is just pure fun! On the day of your session, relax a litte bit – leave with enough time to beat traffic (if you live in the metro area) and make things easy on yourself. When you arrive, take a look at each person in your party to make sure they’re photo-ready!

Editing

Our editing process has been a consistent work in progress over the years as we’ve serviced clients, we have learned about proper file handling and editing procedures. When we arrive home from your session or event that evening, we make copies and back up your images. From there, I head to Lightroom and choose the very best images based off of; lighting, composure and expression. The first set of edits is color correction and exposure, next, we take each image into photoshop and finalize the editing process with special tools to perfect each image.

Delivery

A few weeks after our time together, you will recieve and email that will contain a link to your gallery. In that email, you will also have information on how to properly store your images. If you ever need help, please reach out and ask, I’m here for you!
